Seven of the World's Best Bars Hosted by REM Trastevere in Rome
REM, a unique cocktail bar that brings an immersive experience to Rome's nightlife located behind Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, hosted an extraordinary series of events. After a successful introduction of seven of the world's best bars at Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel on the 11th of May 2024, four consecutive nights were dedicated in hosting them at the heart of the capital in REM cocktail bar at Vicolo di Santa Margherita 1 in Trastevere.
Spearheaded by the talented Co.So team of Riccardo Bucci, Giulia Castellucci, Benedetto Guarino, Lorenzo Falasca and Simone Lanuti, REM stands as a testament to innovative mixology and the vibrant spirit of the Trastevere neighborhood. Operating between 10 PM to 5 AM, REM serves as a sanctuary for those looking to unwind and enjoy a really late-night drink embodying the essence of the phrase "burning the midnight oil". The venue's name, an acronym for Rapid Eye Movement, hints at the bar's conceptual focus on the phases of sleep and the sensory experiences associated with them.
The true magic of REM lies in its ability to transform an ordinary night out into an extraordinary sensory experience. In fact, after a spectacular showmanship of presenting their guest bars at the lobby bar of Anantara Palazzo Naiadi, the bartenders'original cocktails were prepared by the staff of REM and Anantara Palazzo Naiadi. Guests had the opportunity to sample unique cocktails, each reflecting the distinct style and signature flavors of the visiting bars. The gathering highlighted the creativity and expertise of these top-tier bartenders, offering REM’s patrons an unparalleled tasting experience. This collaboration not only celebrated the art of mixology but also fostered a sense of community among cocktail enthusiasts and industry professionals.
