Celebrating 60 Years of Sofitel: A Diamond Anniversary at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese

Celebrations are taking place worldwide, commemorating six decades of “Art French de Vivre.” In Rome, the Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese joins the festivities, reflecting on its own storied history and passion for exceptional hospitality.

On Thursday, June 20th, the heart of Rome came alive with an exclusive evening event at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese. The hotel, embodying the charm of an elegant Roman residence, welcomed distinguished guests including institutional representatives, embassy officials, notable personalities, and esteemed partners. The celebration promised a journey of entertainment and gourmet experiences, from the welcoming hall to the luxurious lounges, culminating at the Settimo rooftop with its breathtaking city views and live music by the Clito Swing and Rockabilly Band bridging the musical heritage of Italy and France.

A Culinary Celebration

The evening’s culinary delights were crafted by Chef Giuseppe D’Alessio, featuring a menu that seamlessly blended Italian and French traditions. Highlights included Roman-style supplì, fine de claire oysters, egg carbonara, quiche Lorraine, roasted octopus with salmoriglio, and marinated scallops with seaweed mayonnaise. An assortment of Italian and French cheeses and cured meats, along with caviar, truffles, macarons, and tiramisu, further enriched the gastronomic experience.

To toast the occasion, guests enjoyed Maison Pommery champagne and French Bloom, a non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Dima Ciocia, the Bar & Restaurant Manager, curated a special cocktail for the evening, the “Roman Sparkle,” a harmonious blend of Italian and French flavors featuring Amaro Formidabile, Lillet Blanc, fresh mint, lime, and prosecco.
