L’Italia del Pinot Nero: Rome Hosts a Celebration of the King of Red Wines

On 27 and 28 October 2024, Rome will host the highly anticipated event, “L’Italia del Pinot Nero”, at the Belstay Hotel (Via Bogliasco 27). Organized by the wine publication Vinodabere, the event will feature around 40 Italian producers showcasing a wide array of Pinot Noir wines, along with other notable selections. This two-day celebration is designed for industry professionals, journalists, sommeliers, wine lovers, and enthusiasts alike, offering a comprehensive exploration of Italy’s finest Pinot Noirs.

The event begins on Sunday, 27 October at 10:30, with a technical tasting titled “L’Italia del Pinot Nero” (A Journey Through Italy via Pinot Noir). This exclusive session, reserved for press and industry professionals, will be guided by Vinodabere journalists Antonio Paolini and Maurizio Valeriani, together with well-known wine critic Dario Cappelloni from DoctorWine. Attendees will delve deep into the complexities and nuances of Pinot Noir produced across Italy’s diverse wine regions.

In the afternoon, from 14:00 to 16:00, the tasting tables will be open to the press, sommeliers, and industry experts. Following that, the event will welcome the general public from 16:00 to 20:00, giving wine lovers the opportunity to taste and appreciate the variety of wines on display.

The program continues on Monday, 28 October, with a full day of tastings from 10:00 to 18:30. Producers will present their Pinot Noir and other wine selections, allowing participants to explore the wide range of Italian wines on offer. Whether you’re an industry professional or a wine enthusiast, this extended session promises a rich and immersive experience of Italy’s winemaking prowess.
